SUMMARY:Bathurst Town Centre Master Plan
DESCRIPTION:Submissions have reopened to allow further consultation\n\nCommunity vision for the future of Bathurst’s town centre\n\nA draft master plan for Bathurst’s town centre is being currently being developed by consultants Allen Jack + Cottier Architects based on feedback gained from the community. \nThe next stage of engagement for the Bathurst Town Centre Master Plan is underway. Given the circumstances surrounding the COVID crisis and ongoing social distancing measures this engagement will be undertaken on line. \nCouncil’s consultants Allen Jack + Cottier Architects have prepared a webinar to talk through the current concept design work for the Bathurst Town Centre Master Plan. \nMayor Bobby Bourke said at this time the draft master plan for the Bathurst Town Centre has not been completed and has not yet been presented to Council for consideration. \n“The community can still lodge feedback on the concepts at any time through the YourSay Bathurst website which includes a range of information on the master plan process.” \n“When the draft master plan is received in coming months\, Council will consider the matter and the draft master plan will be placed on public exhibition for feedback and consultation will be undertaken with businesses and the community.” \nThe Bathurst Town Centre Master plan encompasses seven blocks and aims to strengthen the town centre as a regional business and cultural hub\, improve linkages and thoroughfares and complement the heritage character of the town centre in addition to reuse options for the former TAFE site. \nClick here to view: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=edWCjQ42DR0 \n\nTo have your say on the concepts outlined in the webinar click here: https://bathurst.typeform.com/to/KmZLeyqi.

SUMMARY:COVID Coping Strategies for Business Owners
DESCRIPTION:Did you know anxiety pollutes all our thoughts? Learn how to stop anxiety affecting your business decisions\, relationships and outcomes. \nAbout this Event \nLachlan Mitchell has worked with thousands of anxious and stressed people for more than 50 years in the State’s Mental Health Service and as a Parole Officer in the Prison system. \nLachlan found that while the tradition approaches provided support and temporary relief\, they rarely provided a way for people to manage their own emotions when support was withdrawn or not available. \nAfter discovering that controlling our biology is the key and can be easily learned by the average person\, I have drawn on my 50 years of experience to create a unique 9-session self-help program. The Freemotional program teaches you how to regain control of your emotions in less than an hour\, regardless of what is happening now\, or what’s happened in the past. \nOn 16 September\, Lachlan will explain how and why they work and will also teach you the simple technique he taught prison inmates as they were preparing to return to the community. \nAs business owners and managers are faced with increasing stress\, learning how to manage our anxiety is vital to making good business and personal decisions to help our businesses survive the COVID crisis. \nTickets are available for limited in-person attendance and virtual attendance\, so registration is essential!
