Bathurst U3A
Bathurst U3A – University of the Third Age
The Bathurst U3A is a part of the University of the Third Age movement and arranges courses in which people over 50 can use their leisure time to learn and teach together. All U3As are volunteer groups run by an elected committee of local members.
The Bathurst U3A was established in 1991 and in 2016 had well over 500 members. You need no formal qualifications to attend or teach a course. There are no examinations or tests. All tutors give their time and expertise voluntarily. They love their subjects and enjoy sharing their enthusiasm and knowledge with others. Some use their trade, business or professional expertise; others are happy to share a life-long hobby or interest with like minded people. You may participate in as many courses as you wish for an annual fee of $30.00. All classes are held during the day. Our four, six-week terms coincide with school terms, leaving you free for the school holidays.
