Veritas House

Veritas House is a community-based, not-for-profit organisation that was established in Bathurst more than 40 years ago and has grown to become one of the largest providers of foster care, youth homelessness and mental health services in the region, supporting more than 900 children, young people and families each year and employing more than 100 people.

Our services include Homelessness and Early Intervention services, Supported Independent Living and Residential Services, and Out-of-Home Care, commonly known as Foster Care. Each of our services are designed to empower young people to reach their full potential, to strengthen interpersonal, family and community relationships, and to end the cycle of youth homelessness. We believe in creating a socially just and caring community in which every person is safe, secure and valued.

Our programs are evidence-based and early intervention focused. We provide flexible, client-focused case management to enable young people to build their skills and capacities for independent living. We offer case management support, outreach and onsite services for young people in the Bathurst and Orange communities with an emphasis on assisting with education and training while addressing housing, family and living skills. We assist clients to build stronger connections within their networks, find a sense of self and place, and engage with therapeutic services to address complex issues that might lead to entrenched homelessness or disadvantage. We’re committed to a holistic view of health and wellbeing that encompasses all aspects of a young person’s mental, physical and emotional wellbeing.

We are not-for-profit organisation and registered charity with some incredible supporters. Together we are changing the lives of vulnerable children, young people and their families in our community.
