Calling all businesses!
This February, Bathurst will be on show to the world as the World Athletics Cross Country Championships hits Mount Panorama.
Council is encouraging local businesses to help dress the city and create a festival feel to welcome the more than 500 athletes from around the globe that will descend on Bathurst.
There’s 2 ways to get involved:
Adopt a Country – Business Window Display Competition
– Register to be allocated 1 of the 68 countries competing (countries will be allocated at random)
– Dress your window in the theme of your adopted nation
– Starter packs provided by Council
– Chance to win 1 of 6 major cash prizes
1st Prize: $5,000
2nd Prize: $3,500
3rd Prize: $2,000
3 x Highly Commended Prizes: $1,000 each
Host Live Entertainment – Pubs, Restaurants and Cafes
– Live entertainment with an international flavour placed into public dining venues across the Championship weekend
– Registered venues will be allocated acts, free of charge, with artist fees funded by World Cross Country
– The full schedule of live entertainment will be promoted by Council.
