Bathurst Aerodrome

More than $7 million in invested in the Bathurst Aerodrome. A further $3.8 million to be invested over the next three years.

Bathurst Aerodrome covers over 195 hectares and is serviced daily by FlyPelican, providing regular public transport (RPT) to and from Sydney. As one of the closest regional airports to Sydney, Bathurst Aerodrome is a popular destination for pilots, particularly trainees, from Bankstown and Camden Aerodromes.

A $1.9 million grant has been secured under the Growing Local Economies Fund to help fund a major expansion of the Bathurst Aerodrome, with a further $300,000 granted under the Federal Government's Regional Airports Program. In total more than $7 million has been invested in the Bathurst Aerodrome since 2016, with a further $3.8 million being invested over the next three years.

This future investment will include:

• 13,000 sq.m of new hanger space
• Apron asphalt rehabilitation
• Lead-in taxiway construction
• Taxiway reseals
• Taxiway lighting works
• Reconstruction of the secondary gravel runway to a sealed pavement
• Upgraded electric security gates at existing manual access points
