Bathurst Leading Edge Data Centre

A Tier III, world-class Leading Edge Data Centre coming soon to the Bathurst Region

Bathurst will soon be home to a world-class data centre, which will be used by local businesses, universities and national enterprises to house their critical infrastructure and provide direct cloud access for their applications.

Bathurst Regional Council has approved an application for a Tier III Data Centre to be built on Panorama Avenue, next to Bathurst TAFE. The Bathurst Data Centre will be one of 14 built across Regional New South Wales, expanding connectivity options for regionally based businesses, and strengthening opportunities for businesses to relocate to Bathurst.

Local councils, utility companies, emergency services, health, mining, and agritech are just some of the industries set to benefit from the new infrastructure. Additionally, as organisations continue to adopt AI and IoT devices to monitor and manage their business assets, many sectors including agritech will benefit from reduced communications costs, improved coverage and faster response times from their IoT devices to help them make better business decisions.

The Bathurst Leading Edge Data Centre has the potential to deepen the regions technological blue print and enhance Bathurst Regional Council’s Smart Community Strategy.

Chris Thorpe, CEO and Founder of Leading Edge Data Centres said, “We are excited to be bringing a new data centre to Bathurst which will boost the local economy while also creating jobs, driving investment in Bathurst and importantly, providing a metropolitan experience for the local community. By bringing data processing and the Cloud closer to the users, Bathurst has an incredible opportunity to grow as an Innovation Hub to power the Australian economy.”
